RELEASE NOTES

Newest first. Same notes as the launcher.

1Oct 2, 2026

v1.3.6

CHANGED

  • The Library tab no longer starts a guided walkthrough.
  • You can turn Discord message and party invite pop-ups on or off in Game Base under Settings, or in Settings under Notifications.
  • Discord message notifications now show the sender's profile picture and name, with the message right below. Long messages open up into a larger card so you can read more of them. Several messages in a row now show one after another instead of getting lost, and other notifications wait until a message has been shown.
  • The sign-in screen got a fresh look with the warmUP logo and a short explanation of why an account is needed.
  • Game Base now has a "Join Discord" button next to your Discord status that opens the warmUP community in your browser.
  • You can now link Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, GOG or RetroAchievements accounts right from the Achievements page.
  • The Library got a cleaner top: a clear Library heading, smaller collection cards with a visible selected state, a simpler search and filter bar, and your active filters shown as chips you can remove with one press, so your games start higher on the screen. Moving between games in the Library grows the selected game and brings its cover art into focus. Syncing the library no longer makes the Auto-Backup bar jump in size.
  • In the Library, press both triggers (LT + RT) to hide or show your collections.
  • Collections in the Library now sit on their own card tucked behind your games, with a purple highlight for the controller. Hiding or showing collections slides smoothly, and your games move up to fill the space.
  • Adding a game by folder, by its program file or by a shortcut now uses warmUP's own file browser, so it works with a controller. In the file browser, pressing right from the list jumps straight to the confirm button.

ADDED

  • Open warmUP with Alexa (untested): we have not tried it with a real Echo yet, so please tell us on Discord whether it works for you. Turn on Alexa in Settings → Network and say “Alexa, turn on warmUP” to open warmUP on your TV, even when it is closed. “Alexa, turn off warmUP” minimizes it. Works with any Echo in your home network, no extra account or skill needed, and you can give warmUP a different name for Alexa.

v1.3.5

ADDED

  • Remove TV streaming again: if warmUP set up TV streaming for you, you can now remove it in Settings → Network → TV streaming with one press. warmUP asks you to confirm first and won't remove it while a TV is streaming.
  • Number pad on the on-screen keyboard: PIN and number fields now open a large phone-style number pad instead of the full keyboard, for example when pairing your TV. Press the number pad key on the keyboard to switch to it any time, and ABC to switch back. Shift and symbols get a purple outline after one press of L2 or R2; press twice to lock them, shown by a larger dot.
  • warmUP on your TV: set up TV streaming in Settings → Network with one tap and open the full warmUP interface on your TV. An icon in the top left of Home shows whether your TV can find this PC and pulses while you're streaming. When you pick this PC in Moonlight, warmUP asks for the PIN on its own, with the on-screen keyboard already open. Closed it too early? Hold L2 + R2 and press Circle (LT + RT + B on Xbox) to bring it back.
  • Feel every game card: moving through games on Home, in the Library and in the quick strip on a game's page now gives a clear vibration on each card.
  • Resume with more punch: holding the Resume card now builds up from a light tingle to a heavy rumble and launches with a kick. Let go early and it fades out smoothly.
  • Vibration you can tell apart: Mission Control and the Widget Center, the top and bottom bars, and switching pages with L1 / R1 each have their own vibration, so you can feel what opened without looking.
  • Controller vibration: turn the launcher's vibration on or off and set how strong it is, from 10% to 100%. Find it in Settings under Controller & Input, Rumble & Haptics. Your controller gives a short buzz so you can feel the new setting right away.
  • UI sound volume: turn the launcher's menu sounds up or down in Settings under Audio, from moving through game cards and switching tabs to L1/R1 and L2/R2 page switches.
  • Game menu with a controller: when you open a game's menu with Y / Triangle or the … button, flick the right stick to race through the options. Push it further to go faster. Nothing behind the menu moves while it is open.
  • Tags for your games: open a game's menu, go to Tags and add tags you already use in your Library filters, or type a custom one. Tagged games show their tag on the cover, and your tags show up under Filters in the Library.

CHANGED

  • UI sounds: menu and navigation sounds can now get much louder. The UI sound volume starts at 50%, so it isn't too loud out of the box. If you had it set higher, it starts at 50% again; turn it up in Settings under Audio.
  • Privacy Policy and Terms: updated. warmUP asks you once to accept the new version.
  • Cleaner filters: the Library filters only list statuses, platforms, genres and tags you have games for. Pick Installed or Not installed and the rest of the list narrows to match.
  • Friend message notifications on Home no longer cut off the bottom of letters like g or y in the name line.
  • Options in every dropdown list are noticeably larger and easier to read from the couch. The highlight around the selected option is no longer cut off at the sides.
  • Controller: pressing B / Circle in a pop-up window no longer closes it by accident. It jumps to Cancel, and you press A / Cross to confirm. Pop-ups now open with the main action (Save, Next, Continue) already selected.

FIXED

  • Controller focus: fixed controller navigation stopping shortly after starting warmUP or returning from Windows with the PS / Xbox button.
  • Rounded corners on game cards: the bottom corners of game cards and the glowing ring of the Surprise me card now follow the card's rounded shape instead of showing square or cut-off corners.
  • Adding a tag to a game from its menu works again.

NOTES

  • The separate trigger rumble setting. Controller vibration is now one switch and one strength slider.

v1.3.4

ADDED

  • When a friend comes online or a message arrives on Home, the notice now slides in and the older ones smoothly stack below it.
  • Three new free themes: Abyss, Poison and Venom. Pick one in Settings under Theme and Keyboard.
  • Racing wheels, flight sticks, arcade sticks and other devices warmUP does not recognise can now be set up as a controller. Go to Settings, Controller & Input, Other Controllers and press each button once.
  • On Home, the name above Play Now can show that game's title logo, including games you added by hand. A logo that is no longer available is skipped. If there isn't one, the name stays.
  • Resume card: the Halo Surge hold animation is easier to see, with a brighter sweep and glow while you hold.
  • Resume card: right-click the idle Resume card to choose your hold-to-launch animation (same menu as Triangle / Y on a controller).
  • Message Center with a controller: press A / Cross on a message to open it, then scroll through it step by step with the D-pad. Press B / Circle to go back to the list.
  • warmUP Moments: set how blurry the Blurred cover and Cover collage backgrounds are.

CHANGED

  • The mouse pointer now stays in warmUP's purple while the dock or the on-screen keyboard is open, and follows your app theme colour.
  • Download logo: the logo picker now shows every logo for the game, including white, black, community and animated ones. Each one is marked High or Low quality with its size. Menu entries marked New point you to it.
  • Automatic title logos no longer pick a special-edition logo (for example a Deluxe Edition wordmark) when the standard logo is available.
  • A local report records title-logo downloads and deletions. Entries older than seven days are removed automatically.
  • Title-logo deletion now verifies that saved data was removed and reports real cache progress.
  • Original title-logo colors take priority; white or black alternatives are reserved for logos that disappear into very dark or very bright backgrounds.
  • Privacy settings clarify where title logos come from and link the provider's privacy policy.
  • Logo preloading remains usable when the local image cache is unavailable, and failed downloads no longer fill the progress bar.
  • Title logos preload in the background for smoother game-card browsing. Settings show progress while deleting or downloading them.
  • Original colored and silver title logos are used more often when they remain readable against the background.
  • Turning title logos off deletes saved logo choices. Turning them on loads fresh logos.
  • Title logos load more reliably and use available white artwork on dark backgrounds.
  • Title logos on Home and on a game's page are larger. A colored logo stays when it still reads on the picture behind it. A white logo is used on a dark picture when the colored one would disappear. A black logo is used on a very bright picture when the colored one would disappear. If none of those is left, the name stays.
  • A title logo saved earlier is loaded again, so an old black logo does not stay.
  • Title logos are downloaded only after you allow them. Allowing them also confirms the Privacy Policy and Terms. The question uses the same confirmation dialog as the rest of the app, and the text links to those policies. If you say not now, the game name stays. You can change that in Settings, under Privacy.
  • On Home, The Blood of Dawnwalker's title logo is a bit larger.
  • On a game's page, the title can show that game's title logo, the same size as on Home. If there isn't one, the name stays.
  • Title logos stay in English and skip artwork that is too small to look sharp. A wide wordmark is used when one exists. On Home and on a game's page they fit the same size, and flatter logos are a little taller without sitting on the game row. From a game's menu you can download a logo, pick one, and you're done. Games on Nintendo consoles can show a title logo. A logo that is only the removed-asset picture is skipped, and the name shows if none is left.
  • In Settings, under Home & Discovery, you can show game names instead of title logos.
  • On Home, Seamless Game Start no longer has its own chip. It slides in where Resume is a few seconds after you come back to Start or to Home, stays briefly, then Resume returns. After that it shows up every minute and a half.
  • The online dot next to friends in Game Base now matches the one on message notifications.
  • The line around the Resume card on Home now follows the card's corners.
  • The Continue card in the Home game row now shows only the focus glow when selected, without the extra purple border.
  • warmUP Moments: the colour theme now only shows up when the Gradient background is selected.
  • The "Most played" tile in your Monthly recap now has a frosted glass look.
  • Top 5 reels with a blurred cover background now show each game's own cover as it counts down.
  • On Home, messages and friends coming online sit in one stack. The label shows who wrote last, how many other people are in it, and the total. The clear button is round, and its glow is red. When a trailer expands, only the stacked cards shrink toward the X, finishing at the same time as the trailer; the X and name stay.
  • On Home, news and trailers pause while you browse other games in the row. Notifications stay put until you are back on Start and a trailer expands. Trailers resume correctly when you return to Start. The cover then fades into the trailer over a moment. After a trailer, the next news card stays on screen for a full beat instead of flashing past.

FIXED

  • With a video expanded on Home, the highlight around notifications is no longer cut off.
  • The highlight around Home message notifications is no longer cut off.
  • Downloading a title logo: clearer messages when no game is found or the search fails, and pressing Enter in the name field starts the search.
  • On Home, the bottoms of letters like g in a game name are no longer cut off.
  • On Home, message notifications use the same frosted glass as the No Party pill, without a shadow.
  • On Home, scrolling over the game row no longer nudges the covers and Play Now upward for some games.
  • Opening your Monthly recap no longer shows it as a Library recap.
  • Holding R1 or L1 on a For You video now changes the volume almost immediately instead of after a few seconds.
4Sep 29, 2026

v1.3.3

  • warmUP no longer switches tabs or plays menu sounds in the background when you press controller buttons while playing a game.
  • The controller keeps working in warmUP when a maximized browser or editor is open in the background. warmUP no longer mistakes such windows for a running game.
5Sep 28, 2026

v1.3.2

  • The video controls guide in For You now disappears for good once you finish all steps, instead of starting over. Trailers and Twitch streams each have their own guide.
6Sep 28, 2026

  • Resume hold styles: holding Resume on the Home card now shows how long to hold, with a small celebration when the game starts. Pick from five styles in Settings → Display & Sound → Appearance, or press Y / Triangle on the Resume card.

CHANGED

  • The Home Resume and Continue cards look calmer: no outer glow, just the animated border.
  • The top bar is a little larger.
  • Twitch streams in For You use warmUP's colours, start with sound and follow LB/RB volume. A short guide shows the video controls once.
  • The Monthly recap shows only the past 30 days.

FIXED

  • Cancelling the launch screen now also closes the game, even if it had not started yet.
  • Opening and closing a game from a For You row keeps your place in the row.
  • Moving through the Library with a controller scrolls smoothly.
  • Switching Game Details tabs quickly no longer leaves the highlight on the wrong tab.
7Sep 27, 2026
